Elin stands at 5'9" with a slender build and tan skin. She has no hair, a lightening scar covering most of the left side of her face with a dragon tattoo covering around her right eye and three jagged scars covering the back of her scalp. When she walks a prominent limp may give cause for some to think pitying thoughts, she aims to be intimidating to the casual observer, and so chooses to wear her sword, gauntlets and often leather chest armor to enhance this perception. Jeans, thick soled black boots, and t-shirts are her wardrobe, and she doesn't much care what colors. Her eyes are electric blue, though not through natural causes, the iris and pupil have fused together and only jagged marks, looking similar to lightning. She has numerous scars, some small and others large, over her body, the result of many battles with Ryluth.
[break][break]
Elin is eccentric, brilliant, and strange. No one but Ryagin remembers when her mind was whole, though she will argue that she has never thought better in her life. She is determined and loyal to her cause, bringing freedom to dragons and humans alike. Her love is for Ryagin, her dragon companion. She has a commanding presence, giving her the ability to lead the Excalibur revolution with Ryagin. When in casual conversation she often will stop speaking in the middle of her sentence and walk away, though she is never more focused than when she is in battle or giving an inspiring speech. She is fiercely protective of the members of Excalibur, and extremely skeptical of new comers who have not yet proved their loyalty. Once her trust is lost, it would take a monumental event to earn it back. Even though she may not agree with someone, she chooses kindness over cruelty, she is does the right thing, even to those who have wronged her, besides they could become allies. She believes in freedom for all, she fights for this, she give speeches, she rallies troops, and she faces armies. All in the name of freedom.

Elin Dragon-Rider was not always known as such. But none now live who remember her under a different name. As a young girl of 23, in the year 3890, she participated in a group of young idealists. They met in casual places, thinking they could change the world from the ground up. They believed that humans had been wronged, and the world was out of balance. They thought in order for the world to be righted humans had to return to the surface. She knew that humans should not have to live in fear underground. And being far more than just an idealist she ventured above ground for the first time because of a rumor. The tale of a dragon who chose to not harm humans when they came near, who would let them leave in peace. If she could ally herself with this dragon she could prove her theory. That dragons and humans could co-exist.They both lived on this world, but they should live on it together. She believed that if she could prove this, everything would work out in the end. She did not realized how very far away the end was.
[break][break]The security of her underground community was lax when it came to sneaking out, who would want to leave the safety of the underground to go into the vast world of uncertainty. Escape was easy enough, it was navigating the land that was difficult. But she continued on, carrying only a white handkerchief to signify peace. She traveled through hailstorms and snow, from one underground village to the next, searching for the origin of this dragon. She found only more rumors: of the forest. So to the forest she went, entering the trees with a prayer of hope. For days she clambered through brush and undergrowth of a forest that had been untouched by human hands for generations. She began to lose faith after days of meandering through the trees with no sight of of a single dragon, friendly or otherwise. As she neared the mountain she began to realize that the rumors had been just that, rumors.
[break][break]Screaming in rage, hopelessness and misery she kicked the closest rock she could find. It soared down the hill she was standing atop then bounced back to her. She froze, not daring to move. A huge gust of wind and an enormous shadow covered her, her nose traced a line to the sky as she gazed upon the largest and first dragon she had ever seen. Before she had time to do more than pull her soiled white handkerchief from her pocket, a blast of electricity shocked her system, burning her face.
[break][break]When next she woke, the dragon was the first thing she saw. Perhaps she had heard wrong, perhaps it was not different than all of the other dragons... but she was still alive. Her face felt raw, but when she moved her hand to touch it she found leaves covering her burn. The dragon helped her heal, recover, and grow stronger than she had been before.
[break][break]Elin stayed with the dragon, living off of the woods. Eventually the dragon showed Elin it's home and the two began to trust each other. After a year, Elin and the dragon bonded, becoming the first dragon and rider in recorded history. She learned his name was Ryagin. They started their journey of discovery with their new bond. They could communicate with each other telepathically. Elin learned she did not age, or at least aged much slower since she had bonded with Ryagin, she also gained his powers of electrokinesis, the ability to control and create electricity. Ryagin help her learn how to hone her new-found powers. Realizing that together they were more powerful than they had ever been alone, they came to the conclusion that if they could take down the seat of power, Ryluth's mountain, they could begin a process of healing for both dragons and humans. And so they attacked Mount Gorgoth, thinking the two of them could save the world. That was one thing they both shared, pride. However, pride makes poor armor, and stubbornness even poorer skin. They retreated, badly broken and Elin was never the same. The two began a new plan. A plan that involved a rebellion against the queen Ryluth, Ryagin's former mate, and freedom for both species.
[break][break]This plan required more than just the two of them, they head already learned they could not defeat an army. Elin began recruiting trusted humans to become dragon riders, like her, while Ryagin recruited dragons. Nothing like this had ever been done before, a new frontier. As their numbers slowly grew, they became more confident. Another attack was planned, planned down to the last detail. Yet the best laid plans... Elin and Ryagin had been cornered by Ryluth, and just before Ryluth struck, Elin brought down her sword, severing a section of the Queen's wing. But retribution is swift. The blow Ryluth gave Elin struck her head and leg. Ryagin reared and plucked Elin from the ground, retreating to their Elysium in the forest. After the incident, Elin and Ryagin realized they needed more than revolutionaries. They needed a true revolution which they gave the name of Excalibur. Excalibur for the sword that gave the right to rule the old country of England. They believed the right to rule was with both dragons and humans, together. In the year 3995 they began their formal rebellion against Queen Ryluth, using organization, planning, and advice from others to make strategic attacks, form allies, and begin amassing an army of their own.
[break][break]The year is now 4015 and the Exaclibur is an established organization with a history of strength and hope. Elin and Ryagin have learned from their past mistakes and are cautious in their new strength.
